I want to get out of the city, I want to get out of here, I want to go where someone needs me, I don't want to disappear. I want a world with some justice, Don't want to drown under melting ice caps, I want a world with some freedom, Don't want to be living in the past. They tell you to go to college, They tell you to get a job, They don't tell you to be a good person, Just make money for the boss. Work all day so you're too tired to argue, Work all day so you're too tired to care, Waiting for a weekend when you'll be, Too busy doing laundry to go anywhere.

I don't want to think about tomorrow, Because today's just fine, I don't want to be another sucker, Just working away his time. I don't care what the future has to say to me, Because while I'm alive it don't matter. People try tell me all kind of lies, But I don't believe what they say, They try to tell me they're misunderstood, But I don't want to play that game. Come up empty every time you try, And sometimes you give up trying, But what I found is that trying's, The only thing that'll stop you crying. People have hope and people have pain, And make it go away, But while I'm here I want to feel the hate, Of every single day.

Gone Maybe 03:55
Gone are the days we couldn't quite imagine, Like too much light would only make them darker, Under the waves we were taken captive, Like too much rain could wash away the water. Out, but not down, Nor saved, nor afraid, Come once again, There's no end, maybe. When will I breathe like the trees do? Taking every breath with such long patience, Why can I not explain or make it known? Why am I alone? Far from the light of a million civilizations, Where flowers bloom of imploding fragments of a soul, And the only violence is soundless, Like a dream explodes.

I heard it's just a matter of time and I'll be doing my own thing, You don't want to keep me but you don't want to let me go, You tell me every day how much better off you were, Before I came into your life you say you were just like her. "Have a little faith," you tell me every day, You tell me how I'd suffer if I went my own way, I don't want to hear it when you say those words, I know that you're lying to cover your own hurt. We don't talk about the news and we don't talk about the weather, And if we talked about our feelings I just don't remember, Some people call it strange and some people call it funny, We say that we're in love when we don't know each other. Decided to accept the picture that you showed me, To walk out into a different world where I am so lonely, But loneliness fits me like nothing else ever has, Just glad to be alive, there's no salvation in the past.
5.
You care too much about everything, Nobody cares what you do, You care too much about everything, Just go and do what you want to do. Take a look at this, tell me what you see, Tell me who you are, show me what you need, Call me by my name, take me by my hand, I don’t want to think, give me your commands, Too many feelings about what people think, You don’t have to care what they say, Too many feelings about what people think, Nobody cares anyway.
